Job Description

Position:       Piping Systems DesignEngineer

Location:      Victaulic Global HQ- Easton, PA

Reports to:   Manager of EngineeringServices


*Ability to work remote**

Critical Job Segments:


1.           Reviewcustomer system design requirements and offer Victaulic product solutions forpiping motion control needs, i.e. thermal movement accommodation, seismicmovement, and vibration attenuation.

2.           Assistcustomers with modifying their drawings to incorporate the Victaulic solutions.

3.           Assistcustomers with product selection and engineering calculations for piping motioncontrol solutions.

4.         Demonstratevalue to customers by offering solutions that save time, money, space, or otherbenefits that exceed what alternative methods provide.

5.           Identifyand assist in the development of new piping motion control products.

6.          Identifyand obtain testing, certifications, approvals which would improve Victaulicproducts acceptance or competitive advantage in the market- place.

7.           RepresentVictaulic on major industry organization committees and codes and standardscommittees for seismic and/or vibration attenuation.  Attend regular meetings, and report back toEngineering, Sales and Product Management on current issues.  Influence the direction of issues throughyour direct participation.

8.       Investigatefield installations as to product usage and performance.  Keep Sales Management, Product Directors andEngineers up to date on trends or current issues. 

9.           Provide general support to sales organization includingcreating, organizing and conducting technical seminars.

10.       Performtechnical literature creation and review related to piping motion control,seismic applications and/or vibration attenuation.

11.       Continuallyupdate personal knowledge of Victaulic products, competitive products, andpiping markets.

12.        Performadditional related projects as assigned by the Manager of Engineering Services.

13.        Specificpolicies and procedures have been established by the Engineering Department toprovide for the security and accessibility of electronic data and confidentialinformation. It is the responsibility of the employee, in the daily course ofdoing business, to follow said policies as they relate to document management. The extent to which departmental research and developmentinformation is stored electronically has vastly increased, and will continue todo so. The new Federal rules pertaining to electronic discovery stipulate thatsubstantive email communications constituted "records" under theFederal Records Act. It is therefore the responsibility of each departmentalemployee to understand their role in communicating via e-mails and that alle-mails must be written/responded to in a professional manner.  



Job Requirements


Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or CivilEngineering with 2-10 years pipe system design experience.

P.E. License (Professional Engineer) REQUIRED**

Project Management in building construction.

Experience withDesign software suchas: Autocad, SmartPlant 3D or similar.

Working knowledgeof Stress Analysis software such as; Caesar II, AutoPipe, Caepipe or Ansys Software.

Requires excellent communication skills and professional appearance.

Organizationalskills andability to set priorities.

Ability to travel 15-25%
