Position:          Manufacturing Engineer

Location:         Leland Facility

Reports To:     Maintenance/Engineering Manager


1.  Understand andabide by all Company safety rules and regulations, participate in IncidentReview meetings and the creation or revision of JSA’s.

2.  Developimprovements to continually reduce scrap and downtime, and increase efficiency,productivity and product quality.

3.  Trouble-shootmachine and equipment failures and train maintenance personnel on the recoveryof equipment breakdowns.

4.  Program andtroubleshoot CNC machining centers and robotic equipment.

5.  Investigate andimplement new processes, layouts and technology.

6.  Design andimplement new fixtures, tooling and other machined parts.

7.  Train salary andhourly personnel when required.

8.  Preparespecifications for process and manufacturing equipment.

9.  Write and updaterouting and work station procedures.

10.  Work with product development engineers to improve existingproducts and processes and help in launching new products.

11.  Utilize the Facility Excellence Map and lean tools andtechniques in the performance of ones job.

Job Requirements


1.  Bachelor’s degreein electrical engineering or mechatronics preferred.

2.  Must haveextensive knowledge of PLC and controls technology.

3.  Experience inmanufacturing setting with machining and assembly of small parts.

4.  Skilled infixture, tooling, and gauge design.

5.  Excellent projectmanagement skills.

6.  Experience inoptimizing and troubleshooting manufacturing processes.

7.  Ability tointeract and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.

8.  Proficient withAutoCAD, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office.
