POSITION TITLE:  INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT MANAGER
 

REPORTS TO:       MANAGER, END-USER COMPUTING(EUC)

 

LOCATION:            GLOBAL HEAD QUARTERS - EASTON,PA

 


Victaulic is looking to bring on anexperienced Infrastructure Project Manager to their Corporate Headquarterlocation in Easton, Pennsylvania (PA). The Project Manager will interact withsenior executives, business partners, major stakeholders, and work closely withIT resources, technical service teams and vendors in ensuring that the projectis delivered successfully.  This positionwill report to the IT Director.  Advancedcommunication skills and substantial experience working with vendor managementare required. 

 

Thesuccessful candidate will be able to hit the ground running, must be aself-starter, energetic and have a passion for Project Management. Projects canbe under .5 MM to over 1.5 MM.  Thecandidate must manage a portfolio of projects.  Key factors for success in therole include:  working closely with thebusiness and technology to ensure the success of all projects under theirsupervision; collecting and documenting business requirements; determining andexecuting the most appropriate project  methodologies;providing exemplary project leadership abilities; the ability to function in a growthbased business environment; multitasking and problem-solving competency; andthe ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions oroperational processes.



 Overview

Plans, organizes,and coordinates the project lifecycle for technology infrastructure projects,including large scale operating system deployments, server, communication,storage, and network technology lifecycle management.

 

Leadsinfrastructure projects from initiation through implementation including phasessuch as planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and close-out.

 

Lead and applyContinuous Improvement frameworks and methodologies to meet the various infrastructureservice areas

 

Establishesproject requirements, priorities, and deadlines.



KEY JOB FUNCTIONS (include but not limited to):

  • Understand and communicate with technical resources and teamsregarding IT Infrastructure hardware, software, and services, including datacenter and networking interdependencies.
  • Manage IT projects for large scale global operating systemdeployments, data migrations, full hardware/software stack and infrastructure applicationupgrades implementations.
  • Develop and execute project management plans and schedule, managerisks and mitigation plans, manage budget, influence quality, managestakeholder expectation, manage investigations and resolutions as required andensure prudent use of resources toward project benefits realization
  • Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to clearlyestablish project scope, define roles and responsibilities, clearly understandthe resources availabilities and backfill plan as required
  • Serves as primary liaison between client stakeholders, usergroups, and the project team
  • Assist project team in design and development tasks.
  • Lead with putting together proposal based on business needs
  • Work with procurement team to generate quotes and present toclient
  • Design and maintain technical and project documentation
  • Conduct effective project meetings with clear agenda and actionitems and follow up all action items
  • Design and conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results, andpresent findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner
  • Ensures project is completed in accordance with all technologyrisk, architecture, and other relevant enterprise-wide guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews projectdeliverables
  • Provides analytical guidance to the project team
  • Organize and direct change management activities in adherencewith corporate guidelines
  • Follow and execute appropriate PMO project life-cycle managementstandards (i.e. PMBOK, Agile, SDLC, Waterfall) and the ability to leverageother continuous process improvement methodologies and frameworks (i.e. LeanSix Sigma, ITIL, etc.)
  • Responsible for communication and change management plans, progresstracking/monitoring, escalation.
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analyses and solutionsof problems
  • Monitors and provides feedback to management on employeeperformance on the project, ensuring the team follows change managementprocedures.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Improve customer perception and satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Escalate project issues that cannot be completed within agreedservice levels or project delivery schedule.
  • Communicate with IT Director, customers and key stakeholders onproject progress, impending changes, agreed outages, etc.
  • Maintain and document specific knowledge on our existing and newservices and offerings as they relate to internal business strategies and goalsby working closely with IT Lead System Admin.
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties andresponsibilities.
  • Assists the IT Service Managers in establishing, planning, andadministering the overall policies and goals for their respective IT ServiceDepartments.
  • Reconciles consultants' statements of work, timesheets, andinvoices.
 

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10 years of IT Enterprise projects/program and vendormanagement experience
  • Experience with IT infrastructure related projects is a big plusthough extensive hands-on technical expertise is not required
  • Extensive experience leading high-visibility, top-tier projectsor programs
  • Proven organizational skills to multi-task and managecross-functional teams
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills withaudiences of all levels
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail andquality
  • Ability to proactively manage risk and influence others
  • Superior negotiating and problem-solving skills
  • Capability to develop and present succinct status summaries andreports for various stakeholders
  • Must have hands-on expertise with Project Management Software.
  • Excellent relationship and team building skills
  • Ability to develop a change leadership strategy based onsituational awareness of the changes and groups impacted
  • Ability to develop, lead and execute change management andcommunication plans.
  • Ability to identify potential risks and issues and anticipatepoints of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns
  •  Ability to close out,document and transition project deliverables into the appropriate run andsustain IT organization
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL or other related certificationsstrongly preferred
  •  Travel may be required(10-20%) based off assigned project needs.
