Job Description

Responsible for the development andstrengthening of our specification position at the engineer and owner level ina given territory, for all Victaulic products. This will be accomplished through a balanced multi-market approach,utilizing an account/project based goals and objectives program.

The position may be based either in Atlanta GA (preferred) or Nashville TN

    • Assesses their given area of responsibility andprioritizes the owner and accounts they will focus on in conjunction with theirRegional Sales Manager
    • Develops and implements a yearly game plan thatachieves an improved specification position, focused on all applicableproducts. Particular attention will be given to proprietary products and theirtechnical specification so we can preclude competitive products from use.
    • Responsible for penetrating and increasing Victaulic’sposition at agreed to target accounts (owners, engineers, construction managersand limited contractors).  A matrix willbe maintained at each of these targeted accounts.
    • Develops a complete understanding of:
      • Product features/benefits, account hierarchy,market and product applications and technical language/wording
      • Specifications as an industry document, itscontent and language
      • Competitive products and positioning
    • Documents all activity in Sugar through theaccount /project screens
    • Develops and maintains industry relationshipsincluding joining all applicable associations
    • Fulfills all corporate administrativerequirements.
    • Understands the construction cycle andsuccessfully influences decision-makers at all levels to maximize Victaulicsales/specification potential.
    • Investigates and reports on market trends,competitor activity, etc.
    • Communicates and coordinates activities withtheir regional counterparts when applicable
    • Drive Plan through Account/Project Developmentthrough all levels
    • Use of Sugar as key communication tool
      • Minimum standards are met as per corporaterequirements
      • Meets required reporting procedures asestablished by corporate
      • All activities should be “geared” towardprofitable sales
      • Communication and cross-functional use iscritical

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications (education, experience, personal attributes):
    • Collegegraduate with an Engineering degree. Mechanical Engineering preferred but will consider other engineeringdisciplines.
    • Previous sales experience preferably related to the commercial construction industryor mechanical products.
    • Self-motivated,confident.
    • Strongwritten and verbal communication skills, professional image.
    • Willingto travel overnight .
    • Teamplayer.
    • Competitive,flexible, and resilient by nature.
    • Strongorganizational and time management skills.
